"Kem Weber", "Springer" Lounge Chairs

Kem Weber (1889-1963) was born in Berlin but immigrated to the U.S. in the early teens.  He moved to Hollywood in the early twenties and established his own design studio there.  He went on to design a wide variety of products for many of the top makers of the period, and was at the forefront of creating what came to be known as the Streamline Moderne style.  His iconic designs, including the "Zephyr" desk clock, "Airline" chair and "Springer" chair can be found in museums throughout North America as well as internationally.  These iconic "Springer" chairs were designed by Kem Weber for Lloyd Chrome.  They retain their original lime green and forest green naugahyde upholstery.  They are in excellent original condition and are super comfortable as they have a little "spring" to them.  If purchased as a pair, the cushions could mix and match, but if puchased separately, they will be sold with either both lime or both forest cushions.  American, c.1930's SOLD
