Edward Wormley for Dunbar, Bracket Back Sofa

This is one of the finest pieces we have featured over the last eight years, and one of my personal favorites.  It was designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar.  Edward Wormley was the design director for Dunbar Furniture for many years.  He was also one of the top designers of the 20th century, and was on par with the likes of Florence Knoll and George Nelson.  He was at the forefront of bringing modernism into American homes in the mid-20th century.  We have featured a number of pieces he designed while working with Drexel, but this is the first we have had that he designed during his lengthy tenure at Dunbar.  It kind of has it all...timeless design, great functionality (especially for those who love to entertain, as it seats four very comfortably) and it is in what I feel comfortable calling mint vintage condition.  The Asian Modern fabric is just as timeless as the design of the sofa. https://www.1stdibs.com/search/?q=edward+wormley+bracket+back  90.5" l., 31.5" d., 27.5" h.  American, c. 1960's  SOLD
